Lifelong Learning

Our aims include widening participation with:

Local community historians, including young people and university science historians, to research, archive and preserve stories and records in live and digital form.
Scientists, science interpreters and performers to bring the people and experiments to life.
Local, national and international visitors, schools and colleges.

The project will also offer training and opportunities in:
Live heritage interpretation.
Research into science history within the university, college and external archives photographs, film, written text.
Digital capture of content and working with digital experts to create long term film, audio and 3D assets

Partnerships

The project will involve:

Professional writers, designers and interpretation performers.
Scientific communities including scientists, laboratory technicians, teachers and historians of science.
Local history and digital groups.
Schools and colleges through local STEM ambassadors, and local arts and community organisations.
Tourists, visitors and national and international media.
