Lifelong Learning
Our aims include widening participation with:
• Local community historians, including young people and university science historians, to research, archive and preserve stories and records in live and digital form.
• Scientists, science interpreters and performers to bring the people and experiments to life.
• Local, national and international visitors, schools and colleges.
The project will also offer training and opportunities in:
• Live heritage interpretation.
• Research into science history within the university, college and external archives photographs, film, written text.
• Digital capture of content and working with digital experts to create long term film, audio and 3D assets
Partnerships
The project will involve:
• Professional writers, designers and interpretation performers.
• Scientific communities including scientists, laboratory technicians, teachers and historians of science.
• Local history and digital groups.
• Schools and colleges through local STEM ambassadors, and local arts and community organisations.
• Tourists, visitors and national and international media.
